Unit Coordinator - Emergency Department – Per Diem


Support an incredible team at New York’s #1 hospital: NewYork-Presbyterian.  As a designated 911 receiving hospital, our facilities include Level I Trauma Centers for both adult and pediatric patients, a Psychiatric Emergency Receiving Center, a citywide Burn Center and more.


Provide compassionate patient focus and superior customer service - keeping our fast-paced environments running smoothly.  The ED Unit Coordinator maintains and orders supplies, conducts daily equipment inventories and assists clinicians with supply requests.  This position responds to emergency patient care situations, ensures that emergency carts are adequately supplied, checks the overall condition and safety of the patient environment on a regular basis and follows up on repair requests.          


This is a per diem position with the opportunity to pick up day, night and weekend shifts. 


Required Criteria

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • One to two years related experience
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and courteously with staff, patients, and visitors
  • Knowledge of computer skills such as Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint
