Be a welcoming friendly face as the visible front line security presence for the #1-ranked hospital in New York (U.S. News, 2017-2018). Protect patients, visitors, employees and property in and about the Ambulatory Care Network. Maintain a lawful environment for lifesaving care at all of the New York-Presbyterian Ambulatory Care sites. Perform building and grounds patrol, including traffic and parking patrol, including preserving a clean and welcoming environment for our patients, their families, and employees. Maintain a culture of compassion, caring, warmth and support by providing one to one patient responsiveness as needed, including transporting patients with emergent needs to the Emergency Department. Go above and beyond for patients to deliver superior customer service and ensure their comfort and safety at all times.


Preferred Criteria

  • Bachelor’s degree, at least two years of collegiate coursework in criminal justice or a related field
  • Prior military or security experience

Required Criteria 

  • Current NYS security guard license
  • High school diploma or equivalent is required
  • Current Driver’s License
  • Completion of Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification required within 90 days of starting in role, and continued BCLS certification required every two years
