Education Coordinator Advocate – School Based – Washington Heights/Inwood


Work with a tight knit team of mental health clinicians to ensure that patients' needs are being met beyond our ambulatory care clinics and hospital walls. Bring your outreach  experience, unwavering compassion, and outstanding communication skills to our School Based Mental Health team.  


As an Education Coordinator Advocate, you will provide support to the youth of our community who present a need for education advocacy. Report directly to the school based Psychologist/ Neuropsychologist and liaise between parents, mental health clinicians,  and schools  to ensure academic accommodations are met. In this Family Youth Development grant funded role, you will also have the opportunity to conduct workshops for families to in understanding their children's learning needs and relationship to the  Department of Education.



Preferred Criteria 


  • Bachelor’s degree
  • At least one year of community based and/or outreach experience

Required Criteria


  • Associates degree
  • Bilingual English/Spanish
  • Willingness to travel to offsite facilities
  • Strong communication skills
