Clinical Nurse Manager – RN – Pediatric Operating Room - Evenings

 

Bring your leadership skills to NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital / Morgan Stanley Children’s Hospital - New York’s #1-ranked children’s hospital (U.S.News & World Report), and be a catalyst for excellent pediatric care. As the Patient Care Director for the Pediatric Operating Room, you will directly contribute to and provide the leadership to ensure optimal patient outcome, financial performance, and efficient operations of perioperative services—with oversight of roughly 6,000 cases per year and 8 OR suites. Be a part of a growing team as we expand to 10 OR Suites in April of 2018.

 

As the Clinical Nurse Manager, you will help drive the delivery of our patient-focused nursing and maintain an environment that fosters shared governance and performance at the highest level. You will collaborate with the Patient Care Director and physician leadership and oversee a full spectrum of pediatric specialty surgeries. Help to design, implement, and insure compliance with evidence-based policies, practices and quality initiatives.

This is a full time evening shift from 3:00pm-11:30pm.

 

Preferred Criteria 

  • At least 5 years of clinical experience working in an Operating Room
  • Previous leadership experience
  • Previous clinical experience with Pediatric surgeries 
  • CNOR Certified

Required Criteria 

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing 
  • At least 3 years' of acute clinical experience in an Operating Room 
  • Current NYS RN licensure (or willingness to obtain within 3 months
